Definitely my best season ever! There was a good amount of luck and some skill involved to get all of these done.

That's a season alright... congrats

A perfect way to spend Veterans Day! In the field with a fellow veteran and my Brittany, Nutmeg. South Dakota continues to impress with lots of birds. Most of the crops are in with the exception of some sunflower fields. I shot a bona-fide triple on upland birds yesterday. A pair of Sharptail Grouse got up and as I pulled the trigger for the first grouse, a rooster flushed from the same tree row. I folded all three with three consecutive shots! My little dog was in rare form. She tried to jump out the window as we pulled up to the field as she could already smell the birds. Deer season opens this coming weekend. Its been a great fall so far!!

I really want to get a smokeless.
Not a common thing here in Canada.
Who built yours for you ?
Ken theissen at accuracy development solutions in Ontario has been building them for a long time. They are amazing, and he's phenomenal to work with.

Here's a 3 shot 100 yard group, and a 5 shot 550 yard group the day before opener

Holy frig that's pretty awesome.
So I can take my rem 700 long action and just convert it over correct ?

So what caliber did you go with and what bullet were you shooting ?

You don't need a long action. Most are built on a short action. Any 700 platform will work, as well as a few others like the encores and such. He builds them off of what the customer supplied but if you want a full built then he builds off the kelbly/arrowhead obsidian action which is what I have. It's a kelbly atlas tactical lite, with a full bottom and a notched bolt face specifically for the priming modules used in the system.

Most common is 45 cal, and he supplies arrowhead xld bullets as well. He will build a full arrowhead muzzleloader system

Tag 3 of 5 filled. Dink Whitetail. He should be tasty as he's a fatty. I got one in the same area last year and enjoyed the meat products from him.

I spotted some does a ways off. I figured to myself the bucks should be chasing the gals soon, so I put a stock on the does to see if a buck would pop out. The does spotted me while on the stock and bolted. Not 10 seconds later, this little dink came prancing around 40 yards from me. How he didn't smell me, I'll never know. I figured…well, I got shot ya if you're going to make it this easy. So, I blasted him off hand with my 7 Mag shooting a 168 VLD. Big hole in and out. He ran immediately and expired 50ish yards from where I shot him. Massive amounts of blood where he exprired.

I'm thinking jerky and snack sticks.
