Leupold CDS, Free custom dial with purchase of scope

1800 Yards is 22.3 mils up
(Edit) And that's where the dial stops turning.

But I did notice my Ballistic App shows 22.3 mils for 1800 yards in one place and 22.7 mils in another table…..

Seems total travel is 75 moa so the info is correct you have. What is odd to me is the scopes generally restrict to 2 revs of the turret. On a moa based scope that is 38 moa, regardless of total travel.

Brent,
I totally respect your observation.
Math has never been my strong suit.
Not criticizing your comments, carry on…

HEY, KEEP YOUR HANDS ON THE WHEEL AND EYES ON THE ROAD!

There you go!
Good catch.

I'll likely never attempt a shot a wolf or coyote over 900 yards in even perfect shooting conditions.

If the Custom Dial works spot on out to 800 yards, I'll be well pleased.

I had one coyote at 856 yards last month and was going to take a shot, but he had no idea I was around so I stalked to 312 yards and took him via dialing the standard issue Mil knob to what my rangefinder recommended.

I love the WBY 307 .243 and Leupold VX5-HD combo.

Yeah once you get past 600 things change on yotes and wolves. Pretty small kill zone. I shot a yote yesterday while looking for wolves at 586. It was my first kill with my current rig and it was feeling good about the performance and that helped with confidence. Now to locate this pack I've been chasing ….. My longest wolf is 980 and several 500-800. Longest yote is 1475 but it's a fluke I'm sure. I've killed 2
Past 1000 at 1125 and 1300.
