That's a bull of a lifetime! Congratulations. Very good shooting also. 440 yards is plenty long when you're attempting to harvest an animal like that. I'm sure there was plenty of excitement and adrenaline to overcome. What a blessing. Enjoy those memories for the rest of your life!

81.5 grains RL33, 2904fps avg ADG brass
When I called Berger to get load data and told him what bullet I was wanting to use he said it would shoot fine out to something like 739 yards and then the bullet would become unstable, usually I shoot a 30-378 Weatherby but for some reason my velocity was decreasing so I decided to shoot the .28 Nosler further than 700 yards. I have a spot I go where I can reach 840 yards so I went there and the gun shot ½ moa at that distance every time. I'm not sure what happens when the bullet becomes unstable but they seemed to still shoot well, wasn't like they were hitting the steel sideways or anything, so I took the Weatherby for backup and used the .28 Nosler. I will say it's way nicer to carry all day
