Nomad Ti vs LTi for elk rifle

Trying to decide between the two. I think I would love the extra suppression and reduced recoil from the LTi. I shoot a Bergara Crest in 7 PRC. Factory specs are 22" with the brake so probably more like 20"-ish if you take it off. I don't hunt thick timber during rifle season so I'm not that worried about having a longer barrel but it's certainly a consideration.

I have shot a friend's 300 WM with the Nomad Ti and it was quite pleasant so I imagine the longer LTi would be even better. Anyone have experience with both? Or have made a similar decision with other silencers?

It looks like the nomad ti and still are basically being replaced by the nomad XC series. I think same basic dimensions as the previous generations. I have two of the nomad ti's and like them but am moving to the cgs hyperion after shooting it on same rifle vs nomad ti nomad lti.

The lti will get you a little more suppression vs the standard as mentioned above.

I'm leaning towards the Ti XC for a shorter length and less weight on an 18" 7PRC.

Check out this if you want to see how they compare but both look awesome. It would come down to what target weight and length you will be happy with.

The Nomad Ti is super quiet. Shot timers at the PRS matches I go to won't register my rifle when I shoot with it on. I don't think the extra length for the LTI is even worth it, unless maybe you're running a super short barrel on something.

Great articles! Thank you for sharing.

Love my LTI,
Makes all my rifles sound like a 22 lr. My son shot a deer last week with my 6.5 grendel, and I could hear the bullet impact at 30 yards. It was awesome.
Tell me more about the 6.5 Grendel and affect on the deer, sure it did it's job.

6.5 Grendel is a great kids gun. Especially in an ar configuration. The collapsible stock makes it a no brainer to me, cause it can fit multiple shooters. Especially when there is 9 grandkids involved. Also they can put their heavy clothes on in the winter, adjust the stock and properly shoulder the gun. Both of these critters were under 100yds and neither went more than 20 after the shot. 100grn Sierra HP, 8208 powder. Very little recoil and muzzle blast with the SilencerCo.

An 18" barrel sounds super handy. I didn't know you could reasonably do that with the 7 PRC! Even if I did go with the LTi, an 18" barrel basically negates any length concerns. Dead Air seems to be top notch based on that article

I have been looking at the Nomad and when I have attempted to order but they are out of stock. Admittedly the desire was over taken by other projects but have been pretty diligent lately... Now there are good options and trying to choose between the new Nomad LTI XC (never in stock at SilencerShop) and the CGS Hyperion L. Amazing what they are doing with metals, especially light weight metals, these days.

Want the Hyperion but that SIG 25* shoulder requirement is stopping me. Why oh why make it hard on me... I want to direct thread, period. I do not want to add a bunch of expensive proprietary muzzle devices for the guns I want to use it on.

So, being as I am in a thicket after a specific buck, and shots will be 70 yards max anyway, the 300blk with a Wolfman will get the call.

What kinda velocity are you getting from the 18in 7PRC and bullet weight?
I've seen both lengths of the new Nomad ti XC in action. Thru were being used in a PRS Match. They were quiet and the two fellas had zero hiccups and were very generous in answering questions about the not yet released at the time suppressors. I liked them so much I bought one of that doesn't tell the story.
I've got a DeadAir Nomad ti xc coming soon. I was looking to put it in a 22inch 7PRC

@RWE which did you decide on? And yes about CGS stuff. Every time we get a shipment of their stuff in it doesn't sit around long. Some times, some comes home with me ha…
