YepAnd that's fine, nothing wrong with a humble brag. I love reading about other's adventures as much as the next guy....but it has zero to do with the discussing barrel length. Long barrels aren't for everyone but some use'em.
In a hunting application, long barrels have more of a down side than a positive. If you want more velocity, use a case with a higher powder capacity. You don't need a 34" barrel to hunt long range.And that's fine, nothing wrong with a humble brag. Long barrels are also substantially heavier, harder to transport, get caught in the bushes and vegetation, and they aren't as stiff. Nothing is free

Not much to get in your way in the desert
. You would have a heck of a time trying to get that in a scabbard on a horse though
I always had to have custom made scabbards made for my long barreled rifles.Not much to get in your way in the desert
Horses are miserable beasts and horrible on your rifles. I think they smash them into trees for fun
