I've got a 22-250 with a fast twist barrel (1-8") and would like to use it for Pronghorn/Whitetail. Any suggestions from those in the know would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have been shooting the 77 grain TMK in my 8 twist tikka '250
Only killed a couple varmints and a large white tail doe so far but I'm liking it.

It seems that a lot of guys like to 80gr or 88gr ELD-M bullets in the fast twist 22s. Personally, I've been shooting the Berger 80gr FullBore and 85.5 Hy-Tgt bullets. They are both very accurate in my 7.5 twist Creedmoor. I'm tempted to take a whitetail with the 22 Creedmoor this year, but I have so many more appropriate cartridges that I'll hold off for now.

I have a 22-250AI with 7" twist, have used Nosler CC in 77g & 88g on foxes here, they work quite well on pigs too. I don't doubt these would work on deer, but I trim meplats to ensure expansion.
For deer, the Berger's are hard to beat and I'm in the 85.5g LRHT camp.
I've been looking at the Barnes 77g LRX, but finding them here has proven futile. I really want to try them on goats @ 600+metres.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I have killed train loads of antelope with a .224 60 gr part. , 62 gr fusion, and this year I used 65 gr GK's.
Not super high BC's but they work

The 77TMK is a stone cold killer.
Otherwise Berger 85.5 or 80-88 ELDM.
I want so bad for the 90 grain ATips to be a reliable killer. I've shot them out to 1100 yards in my 7 twist 22-250AI.

That bullet has the BC of a lead balloon.
A bonded or otherwise heavy constructed bullet is not needed or I would even argue desired for shooting whitetail or similar size game, especially at longer distances.
The bullets mentioned in my post will be much more destructive and have far more tissue damage.

He didnt specify ranges and these work great out to 450 yds no problem. Honestly neither animal mention are rugged so he could kill them with cheap BT bullets and shoot more and save $$
He did however, request high BC options.

Any of the Hammer Hunter line of bullets would be a good choice.
