I came across some bullets from a past project so I'm planning to develop some me loads for my .243 Win in a Savage model 10 predator with 24" barrel and 1:9.25 twist. I have Barnes 85 gr TSX, Nosler 90gr ballistic tip and Hornady 90gr ELD-X. I also have a variety of powders but I'm leaning toward H4350. Does anyone have a good recipe for these bullets? Maybe even in this gun?
Thanks

That should work great for hunting since it's almost insensitive to temp change. May go that route myself with my 8 twist AI. RL15 was ok but want groups tighter.

I run H4350 in my Savage 10 Tactical but I'm using Sierra 85 GK and/or Hornady 87 Vmax. If you want to know more let me know. The GK's are consistently just under .5 groups (5 shot) Hornady's just over.
Thinking of trying the 80Gr ELD-VT in my 243. They grouped well in my 6Predator. Both are 8 twists. Forgot to state that this bullet loaded over
TAC.

I also have some Sierra Varminter 70 gr that I loaded for my son's Rem. 700 many years ago. I'll have to look back and see what powder I used. I believe it was RE 15 or RE 17. It did OK in cold weather but showed a lot of pressure in warmer weather. I'll probably be exploring new powders for light bullets, also. Honestly, I haven't shot many varmints with my .243 since I got a .204 Ruger.

Savage 12 LRP factory 26 inch tube.
Berger 95 vld target, 41.0 h4350.
2.191 using sinclair comparator inserts in a caliper. 210m primer. I do not remember exact speed but it's fast for me. Lapua case. Puts these .018 off lands when barrel was new.
Same savage 12. 58 vmax 42.0 varget cci 200 federal brass 2.137 sinclair comparator measured, very fast and woodchuck unfriendly.

Remington 700 adl 1964 vintage factory barrel. 85 sierra game king . 42.0 h4350.
210m remington case 2.205 using sinclair comparator. This is my daughters deer load.
And remember these work in my guns and may not in yours. Work up carefully.
