Well it's that time if the year! Time to upload another successful hunt brought to you by the good Lord and the 140 eld-m. It was NH youth weekend and my son was able to smack this doe with his bergara 6.5 creed. Actually pretty impressed with the shot he made especially having never fired from this position before. This rifle doesn't have a arca rail on it so to make this shot work I flattened out the legs on my two vets recon 2.0 tripod as far as they'd go a stuck my game changer bag on top which gave him the height and rest he needed to clear the grass in the field. Just a trick I learned shooting prs.

Anyway, the shot was 165 yards and when he shot i knew the hit was good. She snow plowed for a few feet then got her legs back under her and took off. We gave her 10 min then got on the blood trail. I found lung tissue and a couple small bone fragments at the sight of impact. 15 ft down the blood trail we found this chunk of lung

I let my son take the trail knowing she couldn't be far. He found her all by himself and I videoed the entire blood track. I'm so thankful to share moments like this with my son.

The bullet did it's job very well. I'll get more pics up when we butcher the deer. The bullet went though both lungs and took out the top of the heart.

Another 140 eld-m kill. Didn't go 20! I was able to get this buck this morning on NH opener. Shot was about 60 or 70 yards in the woods on a oak ridge. Chasing does! I ended up hitting him twice. I have a strict policy when hunting woods if they're still moving i keep shooting. Dumb crap happens sometimes. Both rounds hit 2in apart from eachother behind the shoulder. Needles to say nothing about his chest cavity was intact lol
