Successful youth hunt dropped this Buck at 100 yards with a Tikka 22-250 with a custom 8TR running the 68 Hammer HHT at 3600 FPS!
Congratulations, good shooting, and start them young!

Where I first learned to hunt in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan, this would have been close to a lifer buck.....not sure where it was harvested, but it could be tough to improve upon that nice deer! Great work, and great job by the hunting mentor to put manageable rifle with manageable load in the hands of a youngster to make the first one a good one!

Way to go! CONGRATULATIONS!
Thank to the mentor for getting her into the field making memories and learning what great meat that is to put in the freezer!
The last two antelope that have been taken in our group were taken with .223 and 62 grain Nosler Partition bullets. Culling deer on a dairy farm I used a 22-250 with 55 grain Sierra bullet. When you do your part that cartridge is quite capable for medium to small deer.
