.338 Edge Improved?

I use ignorant prejudice for lots of decisions. That's the weight I choose for my 7mm. In The original post I should have mentioned 213 grain bullet. Sorry for the confusion guys.
do you have cats walking on your keyboard also 🤣 ................happens too me a lot!;):rolleyes:🤣🤣🤣

I ran a 338Edge AI in the past, it was a very accurate rifle. 3.5gr h2O gain over a standard Edge. Probably a 50-75fps gain in velocity.
I ran 250gr bergers at 3250 in a 29" Bbl with n570 and 300gr bergers at 2980

I would guess you'd get 3650-3750fps with a 213 hammer in a 28-30" Bbl. But hammers will surprise on you on velocity sometimes. I'd try the newly released Ramshot grand for that weight it will scream I bet maybe 3800+

CA48,

All I can say is "WOW!" at your suggested velocities. You ran 250 at 3,250 fps, maybe I could run 3,450 with Hammer Hunter Tipped 220 grain bullets. I have a Proof Research barrel waiting for money to finish the job. Money is such a pesky thing at times.

You should see what it does to hogs when the bullet comes apart on impact, no tracking needed. 220tipped hammers would be great too and hit like a freight train at those speeds.
