SOLD/EXPIRED Leupold scope

I did get scammed for $245. Just to let everyone know. Someone reached out to me by text message claiming to be this seller. I had a bad feeling, but after all the vouches I went through with the purchase this morning. It was NOT this member but someone posing as him. I'm out my $245. Stay vigilant as these scammers are slick. Just a few words of warning.
** TOAD270 WAS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS***

Sorry this happened to u and thanks for the post saying it was not me and im not a scammer.

Selling/buying history doesn't matter if the seller's account gets hacked. There's been a number of those instances lately. Glad it worked out and no offense to Toad.

Next time I think the buyers should review the seller's buying/ selling history. It was easy to see that the OP has a good history.
His history was good, I agree. But how did this low life scammer text me in regards to the listing and give me his PayPal info? It's a mystery to me. Cost me $245. Lesson learned.

There are threads on here showing how the scammers are getting people. One of which is post your phone number here on a thread. If you've done that in the past then that leads to it.

Do you have proof that the seller's account was hacked?

Best to not post "I'll take it" or "pm sent" or anything for that matter in the WTS add. What happens is that the low-life scammer will then search for another post where you (the buyer) has given out their phone number or email and will then contact you saying they are the seller and send funds to their low-life_i'mascumbag@paypal account or whatever and then you're out the đź’µ. Gotta stay vigilant and trust your instincts these days! Ask to talk on the phone if you are uncertain!!!

Yup I've seen people on here post their name, address, phone number on a thread.
