.20 caliber estate rifle build

This resonates at home with me. Years ago my granddad gave all his firearms to my uncle. Grandad passed in 2019. Fast forward to last year. My aunt and uncle sell everything and buy an RV. His kids are pretty different, not outdoorsy people at all. None of them wanted anything to do with guns. So, my uncle sold all my grandads guns to a gun dealer for insultingly cheap prices. Then asked me 6 months later if I woulda wanted his 30/06. Of course I told him I'd love to buy it from him, in which he responded he sold it 6 months ago for $300. It's still awkward when I see him, he always seems uncomfortable. Must feel guilty. I would.
Your uncle is a ***.

I like your style. The ones to show interest get them, before you pass on so you know it went to good use.

I was 16ish. My uncle was dying of cancer, and wanted to teach me about guns, accuracy, and reloading before he passed. I was already interested and tinkering with guns, and was a pretty fair shooter, so it didn't take much coaxing. He first had me read a few books and reloading manuals about reloading, safety, ethics and good shooting tequniques. Then we loaded some ammo for his custom douglas barreled .270. Even completely riddled with cancer, he took me out to the BLM and let me put those rounds on paper. I shot a 3/8" 5 shot group, and several not far behind that. He said that was the best that gun had ever shot, and wanted me to have it. He died before putting it in the will, and the son-in-law got it. Pretty sure his wife made him sell it.
