Well yes, I run .005" per inch on my 416 Rigby Improved cases and, I just change shoulder angle depending on calibre.The WSM brass will end up .070 short, as per Rich Sherman, and I'm sure he removed all the taper possible from the body.
Yes, keeps the flame in the case with a delay before it migrates into the throat, allows a more complete burn also.Rich has pointed that out, "containing the flame" I think was his description.
