What kind of deer is that doe and fawn in the OP's picture?
Sika deer. They keep their spots for life. I saw this one born, right outside the cabin at a high fence hunt property in MO. (We weren't hunting these) It was on its feet and stumbling in quick time. Momma let me pet it, but she sure kept her eyes on me, like you see in that pic!

where about in Zona are you to see the little fella
Up in 22S, on Mt, Ord. it is rare I DON'T see Coues every time I am up there for work.
Pretty cool area. Mulies at the base, Coues up top. Coatis, bear, coyotes galore, elk, bobcat. I am sure there are lions up there, but I haven't seen any.

I keep a truck gun handy for coyotes...
