Check out Blake's stud of a California mule deer he shot at 620 yds with the 300 norma improved I built him a few months ago. Hed been watching this buck for a few months and it paid off for him. Congratulations on all the hard work and great shooting.

parts are on the shelf.

I would guess it came outta one of the areas bordering N. Nevada. We get alot of big bucks that have that wide, low look. Most of the good bucks I've seen that came out of Modoc County are typical mulies. High with lots of mass, and many times very dark horned.
It's a great buck, and I wouldn't hesitate giving him a dirtnap!

Sweet buck! The country stumps me as I don't associate country like that with Cali. Probably just my lack of knowledge of that state I guess...

Now this is just me but...........in regards to the pic I'd way prefer a pic of the buck then a pic of the rifle. I'm an old fuddy about sticking a rifle in the forefront of a pic. To me, note I said to me the pic is about the buck not the tool:)

I hear what your saying but if I was sending a pic to the man that built the rifle I'd make sure it's in it front and center 😁
