Any ideas as to what could've made this "mark" on the bottom of this door & frame? NO….it was not a dog. I'm open to ANY and ALL suggestions because I don't have the first dang clue. Yes, it's part of a case I'm working….

Roughly 12 inches…and there certainly are A LOT of those kinds of critters in that particular area.
Someone using their foot to push the door open, most of us do it when carrying groceries or something into the house. Looks like hands full push the door with a foot and specifically a dirty boot, mechanic or mine worker something like that.

It's an upstairs (exterior) bedroom door at the top of a deck.

Is that an access point to the house or is it a deck without stairs? The staining around the rust where the paint is completely gone, is it mold or dirt?

A little more "light" shedding……this residence was burglarized 2 nights ago (this door was NOT the point of entry) and the homeowners say they've never seen that mark before.

Another officer said this as well, but not sure on the source of the heat.
