My son drew a coveted junior tag for Ca elk this year. We spent 5 days in the backcountry and had a blast with friends helping to get this giant out of there. My son turned 16 the night before the hunt, time well spent glassing and listening to elk bugle. He shot this 7x6 opening morning, he had some other options but wanted this old bull who had a lot of mass and the kicker off his main beam, his teeth were almost all ground down to nothing.
