1k scope options hunting setup

I'm looking for some more input on a few optics for a 6.5 prc lightweight build. Here are the scopes I'm looking at. Both have passed the rokslide drop test.

if you have a mil scope in this price, weight, 44 obj amd zoom ratio then post it. Have you done a drop test ? Im talking something i will not have to worry about accidentally dropping. Or riding around in the truck over trails losing zero.
 
Don't have it in mils but a Trijicon Tenmile or Credo are good scopes to consider. I have both and I really like them.
 
Of those two I have the LRHS it has been reliable so far I have not purposely tried to destroy it, but won't do that with any optics ,remember anything made my man can be broken and can fail . My two cents,I also have a credo and like it there are some great optics in the 1K range good luck.

How far would you comfortably take a shot with the optic gun combo ?
 
I think the Bushnell is a very under rated scope if you buy one the higher end models. I have a Elite 6500 2.5-16 which has been a great scope with good glass and a very good real world hunting range of magnification. Several of the newer Bushnell's have even better glass. Euro optic has Bushnell's on sale, I think there is a 3-18 model for under 1K.

I'm really thinking the lrhs2 at GAP.

sure you want FFP in your hunting scope, have you looked at the reticle at all magnifications?

most hunters' preference is second focal plane

I own mostly all ffp scopes. I have looked at reticles.

I had a bushnell lrhs 4.5-18 and did not like it, everyone is different but to me there was too much tunneling and fov seemed very small. I'd try to look through one first. I loved the scope before I actually looked through it on the rifle.

I know it's not on your list but maybe a look at a vortex viper pst 3-15.....I recently acquired a 5-25 gen2 pst and put it through some serious abuse over labor day weekend with 3 straight nights of predator/hog hunting out of utv's where it took a few spills falling over in the side by side, falling out of the side by side, dialing for shooting steel during the day and held zero perfectly the whole weekend.
 
I've got a LRHS 4-18, a Leupold Mk5 3-18, and just got rid of a Maven 2-15. Honestly, on a hunting rig, I'm not a huge fan of any of them.

Last week I was setting up the .260 for hunts this fall, and the scope I reached for is the Athlon Helos BTR 2-12. I've got several of them, and appreciate all the features, the toughness, and the size.

That being said, I'm not a long range bomber, and typically only shoot at big game critters out to 600ish (depending on critter and environmental factors.
