Yes, IIRC., that just happened not too long ago. A few die makers will do it in special order; you must call them. On my last custom build, I had a sizing reamer made, and my GS custom-made all my dies, including a hydraulic-forming die, using a Newlon blank die and a Whidden plunger kit.
I've done some more research and close as I can figure this case is almost if not the same, as a 338 Jarrett.
Jarrett has a 35-degree shoulder angle, IIRC, compared to 15 degrees for the .375 H&H and 25 degrees for the 8MM RM/7MM STW.
It looks good to me.
Does it look like a Jarrett case? I'm just trying to figure out where Raymond Romain came up with the inspiration.
I cannot tell the shoulder angle, but it is pretty darn close.
It almost looks like a 40° Ackley shoulder. A lot steeper than the STW.
I remember reading about why remington went the route they did for the 338 RUM. I don't remember all the details, but they did have a legitimate reason.
Remington designed the .300 RUM in 1999 and the .338 Rum in 2000. Shawn Carlock was smart enough to capitalize on Remington's SNAFU and built the .338 Edge (.338/300 RUM, .338 Ultracat) in 2001.
I know all of that. What I said was that Remington actually had a legitimate reason for the way they did it. I can't remember all the details since it's been so long since I read about it.
And all I am saying is whatever reason, legitimate or not, DE benefitted tremendously.

I talked to Brian at Jarretts today. Gave him the measurements of the case. Regardless of what my gunsmith stamped on the barrel, it's a .338 Jarrett. Case is identical to what they have on the print. It is a 40° shoulder. He gave me some starting loads and said they have lots of 300 Jarrett brass if I can't find any 8mm mag.
