Makes sense. You don't see too many of them anymore. I love my Cooper and would like to pick up another .25-06 but I really prefer a 24" barrel. I think Sako made a Finnlight a decade or so back that was nice but I think it was 22". Anyway it still would be nice to pick one up that's lighter than my Cooper. Might look around for a clean A-Bolt from the early/mid 90's. They were prettty nice back then.

It's been so long since I purchased that rifle but I seem to remember I may have got the 24" barrel. I remember reading that's where the 25-06 really shines. Maybe it was just wishful thinking and it is a 22". At any rate… we will find out this weekend. We are taking it out of the cabinet for the first time in 10 years to go sight it in.
