Yes and I went through 3 barrels on my 28 and then 30 inch 30-378. US869. What's your point about barrel burners? I competed in 600 and 1000 yards@Corvalliscory, I have a 22" 1:7" barrel on my .257 WBY and propelling the 163 Chinchaga at 2915 FPS with H1000 during my pressure testing. I have Retumbo loaded for my next range opportunity.

I use Norma or Lapua 6.5-284 brass. Simply neck it down in a single pass. The 2 powders I've had the most success with is,Just bought a 25-284 on a Nesika. Couldn't pass it up for the price. Totally in the dark on brass. How do you guys make it?
