3.4" action?

Anyone know if there is a mid-length action for this length cartridge?

BAT Vesper action in medium... with the UM medium XL mag. OAL is 3.4"

We manufacture the DBM and mag setup.

It also uses a 1.125" tenon thread so you need a min 1.250 barrel. I consider this a benfit for containing chamber pressure in larger diameter magnum cases i.e. the short mags.

I believe the BAT Vesper is only available through Unknown Munitions. Very nice action. Have one for a build. Just waiting to go to the smith.

1.250 mop handle makes for a heavy gun do they make carbon wrapped in that profile?

I have one. It doesn't feel any different than my other rifles. And weighs the exact same as my other builds

That's really nice. That's 1 oz lighter than the six lug weather be.

Please, tell me the specifics of that one.

I have a Tikka TX3 magnum action in a custom 300WM build with a Mountain Tactical bottom metal and Mountain Tactical magazines. This rifle accepts a cartridge max length of just over 3.4".

Yes Bartlein CFs even recommends it for full length magnums. The added weight is not significant as long as it does not carry the full diameter out far. The weight is also at the action so its not a big effect on balance. I like large tennon and strong actions especially for these larger diameter mag cases

The Vesper long action is designed for Lapua/norma cases, and has larger lugs. Due to the extra fat case, they went 1-1/8" tenon like the igniter and HR long actions. I completely agree with this approach. However the medium action will never see a lapua or Norma 595 diameter case, so who require a 1.250 tenon with the 1-1/8 tenon? I have a Vesper short action and it's just like my igniter short actions, 1-1/16 tenon.
