I have decided to part with my matched pair of Germanic Stalking rifles. These were built by both Jim Dubell and Dennis Earl Smith which are both inducted into the "American Gun Builders Guild" Both firearms are built identical and remain un-used in the field. They were test fired by the builder only for function testing. They remain 100% new and never hunted. In the photos there is providence letters from the American Gun Guild, listing the complete build specifications and a record of these fine guns will always remain in the American Gun Guild's historian records.

Jim Dubell has since passed away, but Dennis Earl Smith is still in business making custom stocks. In fact, on his website the stock doctor, www.thestockdr.com shows him working on one of the stocks to these rifles.

I acquired the firearms from the original owner who is a friend and in his 80's and still kicking. I really love the guns, but my Heym 88 .500NE is my go to gun and my .416 Rigby. These rifles need to be enjoyed and hunted.

This is a beautiful set to have for an identical matched pair to do everything and anything you want on the globe. They handle as good as they look and are the finest pair of working safari rifles, I have seen for this kind of money. These rifles cost $6500.00 per gun when they were ordered in 2004, 20yrs ago and not including the scopes. The builds were completed in 2010, from a back log of orders. Both rifles are equipped with Burris 1-6x42 Euro Diamond scopes which were only made 1yr from Burris. They are illuminated optics with German glass. They cost about $600.00 per scope when they were sold. They are incredibly clear optics.

If you have any questions or need more photos, please do not hesitate to ask, or if you would like to purchase them, please respond on here "I will take them" and then PM to work out details.

I am asking $10,900.00 for the pair shipped to your FFL. They will ship in their own hard cases.

They are classics built in the tradition of dangerous game hunting. I feel privileged just to look at them. It is hard to find such craftsmanship today. Thank you.
I would agree with that, they need to be hunted and enjoyed, an I have a Heym .500NE and a custom .416 Rigby that are my Goto big game guns. These remain in the safe all the time..

Great photos with classic rifles and safari animals. You looked like a scrappy young man that could have talked them beasts out of their lives with your bare hands.

Well, I feel like I am worse than a **** woman... Not only am I impatient, thinking these would sell in 5 minutes on here (So I wouldn't be tempted to keep them), but after pulling them out from the dark corner of the back of the safe, and wiping them down and hand raping them. It has led me to change my mind on selling them... I don't really need the money, and not having this emptiness and remorsefulness I am feeling with saying goodbye to these fine guns is more important... So, they are going to live in my possession another day... I am going to book an Elephant hunt and carry the .458 on the hunt and my .35 Whelen will come along for an eland and a few other furry friends.

Sorry, I just can't let them go...
😢

Not Available Anymore...

They are flawless and it took everything within me to not make a deal for the whelen
Not sure I would have broke them up. Just had a conversation with the stock builder and he said that these are a true commissioned pair and are registered in the American Gun guild just as that sharing the same serial number. By the time I was hanging up the phone I had decided not to sell them..lol They are incredible rifles.

If you're adopting I'd like to submit my application. Unless those are going to a museum or back to the brush to hunt, they should reside with you family forever! And as previously stated, I'd be happy to apply for lifetime membership. Best ending to a sale I have seen in awhile, congrats!
Yours Truly,
#1 Son (application pending)
