Buyers Beware! PTG is no longer the company they used to be! The link is to the BBB's page. Not good.
I've been waiting since February for 2 barrels. I called to verify they were indeed in stock and ready to ship before placing my order. I was even put on hold so "they could go make sure". I was told they have everything and they would get them right out. Neither the barrels, reamer or gage that they took my money for were really in stock. I called back after waiting 2 weeks for them to ship and was told I needed to wait for the reamer and gage to be made!! I was told they had to make them. They were not custom either. That was the first of the lies. They finally shipped the reamer and gage the following week. But the two barrels didn't exist. Was told they were coming soon. So I gave it a couple months, nothing. Reached out again just over two months ago and was told they would be in any day now and they'll get them shipped right away. Now it's been over 2 more months and still nothing. Now they've changed their website and name. I would just take my money back but it's the principle of fact they lied to me about it all. I want the barrels at the price paid!
I've had nothing but flaky service from them for several years now and I'm glad I saved and documented all correspondence since I placed my order. Since then I've learned there are alot of people with the same story. It's too bad, they had a nice niche in the firearms industry. They won't make it long like this. Just be honest with your customers and they'll understand.
Good luck and rest in peace PTG.

I tried to have them make me a custom reamer (Before everyone knew they went to ****). I waited the quoted time frame plus a couple weeks and contacted them. They said "a few more weeks". 2 months later I called them to check in again. They said they'd have to get back to me. 2 weeks later I saw a credit on my card for the reamer, they never called or emailed to explain. I was pretty sad because that was the biggest delay in my project.

They've had a terrible reputation for years now, but sill had a lot of people who remembered the good old days. Even though those days were close to a decade ago.

While they were slow and they lied, they were still a very legit company and you'd eventually get your stuff.

Now they're calling themselves Cabin Fever Sports? That's scary. I hope anyone who has money with them for outstanding orders gets them fulfilled. I'd double check the specs of anything they send before it's put to use though.

They're "re-stocking" fee for things is what put me over the edge. Much like you, I had checked to see if gauges were in stock. They said yes, so I ordered them. When weeks/months went by I was thinking about canceling, but then they said I'd get hit with the re-stocking fee for something that was never in stock. Since it was a small dollar order, I let it ride. But that was enough for me to NEVER EVER buy from them again.

I tried to deal with PT&G years ago. Ordered bottom metal for SA Rem 700 off web site that said "IN STOCK". Three weeks later it had still not shipped. I called. Was told, not in stock and it had to be made, but was weeks away from production. I canceled the order. They charged me a "restocking fee" for something they did not have in stock and they wasted weeks of my time. In the end I got my money back, but took way to much work to every consider doing any business with them again. I never wish ill on any business or person, certainly not in the gun realm, but they will never get any business from me again. I can only imagine how terrible they are now if they are "not what they used to be".

It's too bad. Just a little transparency would go a long way. A lot of people would wait for a good product or a great price on a part. Just be forth coming about it with a realistic delivery prediction.

I tried to order a custom reamer from PT&G. What a joke! Two months of around and around with them trying to simply get a reamer print approved, and never getting a finalized reamer print, then with no warning, a reamer shows up in the mail. No reamer print/drawing, and no idea to what the reamer is cut to spec wise.

I finally gave up dealing with them and ordered a reamer from JGS. Much much better!!!

I have since purchased a Remington firing pin spring from them with no issues. However, I was very reluctant to place the order.

I will absolutely not order a custom reamer from them as multiple phone calls and emails with zero success in communication have resulted in me thinking that they are the most incompetent place I have ever dealt with. Even phone calls with David Kiff were not satisfactory with regards to resolution to my attempts at ordering a reamer.

As the saying goes...
