I switched to Talley's on all my hunting rifles. They fit well and are very secure and very light.
X2I have the Browning X-Bolt Speed with Talley rings and couldn't be happier. Don't skimp on your scope rings….
specs on bottom rifle pleaseI prefer avoiding pic rails unless they are bedded. They also usually make it a little tougher to mount the scope low, which I prefer. I used Leupold rings on my Xbolt and they never have given me a problem.

If you are going with a Vortex scope, use Vortex Rings. I have found them to be especially good for high recoiling rifles. I have been using the Vortex Pro rings on 30-06, 300 and 338 Win Mags with great success. They hold well, never had any movement and they are reasonably priced.Look in the classifieds on here. Someone had a bunch of different makes of rings for a good deal. And he did list Abolt

I have an a bolt,not sure how closely built they are, I have a 40 mm scope on it if I was to mount a 50 mm it would take taller basses than stock.Looking at mounting a scope on a new browning x-bolt 300 win mag. Thinking about getting the vortex viper 4x16x50. Any recommendations on scope rings?
