I've been using AR Plus in my 16" Raptor AR-10. 50gr of AR Plus behind a 220gr Fury Spitzer runs 2428fps.

Have you seen any terminal performance on that bullet yet?

Unfortunately not. I have it loaded up in my 375 SOCOM, and 375 Auto Mag as well, but haven't found anything to shoot with it yet. I'm headed up to my ranch tomorrow, so hopefully the hogs will cooperate.

Please update if you get a chance. It looks like a cool bullet by all means, and I am worried about my 270 speers not holding up so a tougher bullet would be nice

Marksman, the 270 Speer is a pretty tried and true game killer in the 375 H&H on all manner of thin skinned game up to and including 2000lb eland. I'm not sure why you seem so worried about them failing on a sub-500 lb critter.

Most every report i've read of the 270 Speer claims they're soft as could be and don't hold together at all. I called Speer and asked their opinion, and the guy suggested the 270 was a poor choice for a close range bear shot, and the 235gr hot core was a much better option.

I see. The 235 is a good shooting bullet as well. I killed a whitetail doe with one a couple years ago and was less than impressed with the terminal performance. What I saw reinforces what Speer told you about it being a tougher bullet. I would trade you the 235's I have for the 270's you have if you're interested.

Using 235 speers ( I don't know if they are hot cor)
41gr reloder10x was 2200fps in my Raptor (18")
44gr was 2341. I need to push them faster, I just stopped there.
41gr accurate 2200 was 2200fps in the Raptor.
43gr seemed to be around 2300fps. Could go faster, just stopped there.
I would assume your 375/08 would be similar.

I appreciate the data! That's very helpful. I topped out at 43.0gr of RL 10x under the 270's without hitting pressure, and at 2300fps. I think there's a bit of room to go up, but I'm not going to push it. It's already generating almost 3200 ftlbs of energy at the muzzle, which seems ample.
I just stumbled across some 260gr Accubonds that I'm going to try. Seems like that would be the holy grail, assuming my rifle likes them.

On the accubonds I got to 41gr of reloder 10x. It was starting to get too compressed I think. 2200fps
I need to try some faster, denser powders. Lt-30 and H4198 on on my list.
