I know rl 15.5 is temperature stable, but is it equivalent to rl 15. Is the load data the same?

Agree with the others, TS15.5 is slightly slower than RE15. It takes just a little more TS15.5 to end up where you were with RE15.
The rub there is that is not always possible given that RL15.5 is takes up case space than RL15. In my case, the same max charge was around 95% fill with RL15 and over 100% with RL15 so there was no room for more RL15.5 to overcome the 50 fps velocity difference.

+1 Agree.
I have the addiction to XTC Service Rifle like many folks, and in those games a very popular recipe is a 77 with RE15 or Varget at magazine length.

At the magazine length, the base of a typical 77 is going in pretty deep and many loads are "crunchy". I never like doing that, but it goes with the territory.

When TS15.5 came out, I gave it a try in those games and decided it was okay but decided that the crunch was enough to pass on it for XTC magazine length loads and I only use it in bolt guns with longer seating to give it room.

15.5 is splits the burn rate of 15 and 16. it also uses more case volume per grain. so, NO is the answer on interchangeable data. with it being slower than 15 you could use it somewhat the same, but will have less velocity @ same charge. i do have 15 and 15.5, but haven't used any of 15.5 yet (nor 16).
