I didn't really start turkey hunting until 2002, so don't have a lifetime of experience.
In 2005, I began keeping a hunting "journal".
Every game animal I've taken since has been recorded in my journal with a brief writeup of the event. Location, time, weather, firearm, stats for the animal, etc, etc...

My "Journal" isn't exclusive for turkey hunting, but for fishing, deer hunting, hog hunting and/or other significant life events.
Since '05, I've filled up 2 journals and I've almost filled the third.
