Yeah, I saw that, but it's really close to the cartridge I'm running now in 7MM.He's got some F-class designs, on the webpage somewhere.

Thanks!I have one going. Running H4350 and H4831sc with 215 hybrids, 18" barrel. 4831 is looking better than 4350 right now. 2700ish fps. Started getting stiff bolt with 4350 at around 65gr and right around 2700. No good groups at this speed with the 4350. 64.2 was grouping nicely but a little slow. I'll keep u posted. Will get to N560, N565, 7828ssc, and H1000 eventually. 4831 is looking and feeling good at 69gr. Gonna push it to 70, 70.5 and I'll report back. Cleaning up after beryl. Couple big trees down, got NY shop but not the house.
Wasn't water so muc, 4.5" rain, it was the damned wind. Not prepared for that. We were on east side of eye wall. A lot of trees down around me. No power, may be a few days. But, all is fine otherwise. Gonna connect my scale to the generator so I can load more LOLThanks!
Stay safe down there. Not sure how close you were to the main storm, but it looks like a lot of water was left hanging around.
Gotta have priorities in life.Wasn't water so muc, 4.5" rain, it was the damned wind. Not prepared for that. We were on east side of eye wall. A lot of trees down around me. No power, may be a few days. But, all is fine otherwise. Gonna connect my scale to the generator so I can load more LOL
There is no data for the 25 Sherman LA, either. Was hoping to see something - about to start loading for mine.Thanks. Their website brought me here in one of the links.
There's no 300 Mega data. One of you needs to build one so I can know if I want one.
What are you guys running the 7mm's and 300's getting for barrel life if you're pushing your loads 2900-3100?
I want to try a Sherman cartridge in one of my f class rigs for next season.

try N550 and 555. Start with a WSM load and work upI have one going. Running H4350 and H4831sc with 215 hybrids, 18" barrel. 4831 is looking better than 4350 right now. 2700ish fps. Hey Rich. Darrin here. I have both. Will give it a go, thankstry N550 and 555. Start with a WSM load and work up
Where is the load data now?I have put together data from the many shooters that emailed/PM'd me. Here is what I have so far but I am still asking for more data to be PM'd to me so I can continue to add to this.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this.
As always this data is for specific rifles and should be worked up to find what is safe in your rifle.
I finally settled on a load for the 300 Mega.Where is the load data now?
Have you tried playing with neck tension? Sometimes I have had it pull in group. Going up to 0.004 0.005 sometimes can helpI finally settled on a load for the 300 Mega.
215 Hybrid, ~ .025 jump
210M primer
69.1 gr 7828ssc
2710-2720 fps, 18" barrel
I was trying to get H4831sc to work but couldn't get consistent groups at speeds approaching 2700. Best groups were down around 2625fps, but not exceptional. H4350 wasn't doing it for me either. N560 was showing promise but it too would group, then throw a flyer like 4831. Could get both close to 2700fps but opened up and started showing pressure signs. N565 was a no go as I couldn't get enough in the case. Compressed load at 72gr with speeds around 2630fps. I haven't tried N550 or 555 as Rich had suggested because they fall right between h4350 and H4831sc in burn rate. I was reluctant to try 7828 because i don't have much and can't find any, so, of course, it's the powder that works best. Getting consistent groups (4-shot) at .2-.375.
Plenty of room in the case; I tested up to 69.9gr ~ 2750fps but started getting hot.
7828ssc works well in the 7SS with 180-184gr bullets as well.
May try N165 since it's burn rate is essentially the same as 7828.
I think H4350 and H4831sc are good powders for this cartridge - just not for my setup and my expectations. BYW I've been using the same 30 pieces of brass for my testing, and have 7 firings on all. Primer pockets are showing a little wear but still going strong. I think they're good for 9-10 firings.
I would still try the N550 and N555. Burn rate charts aren't 100%.I finally settled on a load for the 300 Mega.
