Working on picking components for a 6mmGT build. Looking at the Berger 109gr LRHT and the 109 ELD-M. The published G7 BCs are 0.292 and 0.295 respectively. But when I go into the Kestel Gun Management tool and look at their G7s I get 0.292 and 0.280 respectively. What are you seeing for adjusted BCs on the ELD-Ms?
TIA

Every shooter and all rifle components as assembled can and will provide distinctly different BC numbers. It provides us with a small amount of entertainment when shooters defend their personal findings as compared to what the manufacture wants you to believe.

And who knows that the programming in the Kestrel is really based on nor does it matter.

For an absolute answer, you will need to buy, load and shoot both bullets then solve for the BC by using math. Otherwise follow the same procedure and see how the bullets perform on target.

Enjoy the process!

:)

It seems to be a collaboration between the 2. I seem to recall reading George wanted an ATip without the AL tip. Weight diff appears to be 1 gr. I find 6GT ammo from Hornady with that bullet, but no other manufacturers.

Understood. The Kesterl numbers are from Applied Ballistics whi does a bunch of testing from my understanding. Not asking for an exact number, but more if anyone has trued BC numbers with that bullet.
Thanks!

I should rephrase that last bit. There are boutique ammo companies that load the 109 (CopperCreek & Eagle Eye confirmed), but I dont see any mainstream manufacturers using that bullet in anything else.
