The 50 or so Bull tags have been pulled and for the 23rd year, none in my direction..lol..all shooting will be by camera, again. The bulls should start rubbing of their velvet in about two weeks, so these photos which are not all mine are some of the last of their growth period..enjoy them and hopefully they will stir your blood up..

..as I've said many times, they are not all mine and I am very thankful for all the time that other photographers spend out there capturing some incredible animals...and greta06 welcome to the club of applied for all 23 years and no bull tag..it's just s-it luck but it's the thought of just maybe that's the rush..

Those pictures are amazing! I never think of PA when I'm thinking about elk, but I'm obviously wrong. The terrain in those pictures is so different than where we normally see elk here in WA.
It's truly an amazing success story by some people who actually know what they are doing and a lot of $$$$$ raised to improve habitat and food plots...we already harvested the 4th largest BULL ever taken by a hunter and I assure we got 1-2-3 walking around if you could only draw a tag..lol. 455 below.. I personally picked up the skull and rack, it weighted 85lbs...

You're not giving me much hope @Frank in the Laurels.
This is year 14 for me with no success.
Was up in Quehanna the other weekend.
Set some cameras out & picked blueberries.
Saw 2 bulls still in velvet.
Unknown number of deer. Gaggles of them!!
And 4 flocks of turkey.

Just one of the pictures I have from tinkering around in that area.
Alas, that was taken through the windshield with my phone.

Don't feel bad there's I think I heard about 1300 hunters that have all 23 points...lol, I've been fortunate to draw a cow tag along with my son and it was a thrill to say the least. The Quehanna is an extremely large area that has elk at times but it's amazing how much wild land there is, I'm betting there are animals in there that have never seen or smelled a human. Guess you'll have to join the rest of us and shoot as many bulls as you want with your camera...great to leave the normal areas and get off on the roads not knowing or caring where they lead..
