I shot one at 560 yds a week ago and missed one at 920 yds (miss judged the wind by about a foot) earlier that evening. I could have shot the coyote by the deer but I didn't really want to blow up the area. I see coyotes at almost every place I glass for deer. They are everywhere this year.
I even bought a dozen traps to try and thin a few out this fall and winter in a few areas on my in laws farm. I've been blasting and trapping raccoons at my in laws farm too. They still have corn in bags and the coons are having a grand old time ripping open bags and causing mayhem. These two guys tried to make an escape across the field but the howa mini 223 made short work.
