What's the reason that Large Rifle Primers are non-existent? Any rumors when they will be available again? How much are they going to cost when they do become available?

I am so glad that I purchased a bunch of them a few years back but, I am running through my stock. I'm not nervous yet but, if this goes on, I will be.

I can't believe that a pound of IMR is costing over $60.00. Is there anyway of a getting a discount on the powder? Buying large quantities from a distributor and sharing amongst friends? Is similar powder costing the same?

Maybe someone needs to invent high powered air-rifles? Just joking. Not meant to be taken seriously.

Large rifle primers are fairly available. Large rifle magnum, are very hard to come by.

The magnum primers have popped up from time to time. It's been around $150-$200, shipped, with Hazmat per 1,000 for something like Federal Large Rifle Magnum Match.

Regular Large Rifle seems to be about $130-$150 shipped, with hazmat. Federal/CCI. Remington might be cheaper.

If you get lucky enough to see some locally, I'd grab as many as you can if they're anywhere near $100/brick.

You just have to know where to look for them, certain brands like remington and winchester are fairly easy to get. I waited a few years to get a case of cci lrp and paid too much for them, but now i will be set for a while. I don't understand why imr powder is so expensive, I switched from imr 4350 to h4350 anyway. The only imr powder I run consistently now is 7828.

OK, so where do you need to look for them? I'd really like to know. I keep an eye out at local shops and check out the usual online places. Midway and Midsouth and like places.

Also curious. Do you need a FFL to purchase primers and powder online? I've never done that before. I always made my purchases at local sporting good stores.

I was just comparing prices. I could get 1000 Remington primers for grand total of $138.07 from Bruno Shooters Supply or I could get 1000 CCI primers for $198.80 from Miwall Corp. That's almost a $60 difference. I wonder why? I prefer the CCI but, it may be time to try the Remingtons.
