Anyone have the NSX for hunting ?
Speaking with a salesmen, and he's guiding me away from the NSX for hunting. Because it's not a low light scope for dawn & dusk.

Any comments ?

Sounds like he's a dumb @$$ . I've got a few nightforce shv that are not quite as good as the nsx and a atacr which is much better and all are on hunting rigs . I wouldn't have any issues with a nsx for low light hunting. You definitely should look in the classified section as they do come up from time to time .

He's probably talking about the reticle...

NF offers a bunch of reticle choices, but most are fairly 'thin' compared to lowlight hunting scopes which typically feature a thick reticle (think classic Zeiss).

Illumination is definitely a factor.

I have one and love it

I have several of the nxs on hunting rigs and feel real lucky to have them. Pretty darn good glass, extremely dependable. Might be like someone already suggested the reticle might not meet low light conditions. The only thing I would hold against them is the weight for a light weight build. But if the reticle is something you like I would highly consider purchasing the scope. Good luck

I had one for a few years. Liked the scope just not how much weight and the 5.5-22x56. I prefer a lower magnification on the low end and something lighter and a zero stop. I ended up with a 3-18x50. I away seem to get a deer running with in 75 yards and in and miss.😢 I decided a lower power would help at a deer hauling ***. I would do your own homework before listening to that salesman.
