Hello all. I've been messing around with my Ridgeline Scout in 308win for a couple years now. It's been my do-all under 300yds truck gun. I've been happy with it. I recently decided to replace the factory stock with a Manners pro hunter. I was assured that this rifle has M5 bottom metal. Bought a stock and took it to the smith. Turns out the Christensen Scout bottom metal is only M5-ish. It is different enough in several dimensions that it would require moderate stock modifications to make everything fit. I expected better tolerances for a fairly expensive rifle. Ended up buying a Hawkins M5 bottom metal and setting it up with that instead. Hopefully this helps anyone else swapping these stocks. Cheers

LOL. I was just on the site and saw it. How much modification needs to be made to get it to fit the Christensen Scout stock?
From talking with my gunsmith the last couple days, we decided the best route is just to install the hawkins m5 bottom metal into the m5 inlet manners stock I have, and sell the old scout bottom metal. Otherwise it takes a bit of messing around to make the scout metal fit a standard m5 inlet stock
