Testing results of cutting 26 inch barrels down to 18 inch barrels in 7 PRC, 300 PRC and 6.5 PRC I ran these numbers from station pressure on site

Alabama 30 inches of mercury 275 feet above sea level and then hunting near Fort Smith Montana at 26.7 inches of mercury or 3200 feet above sea level 53° 70% humidity ( real hunting elevation we hunt at) Crow reservation

Video coming soon (revised)
I made this chart for my students for retained velocity of 1600 ft./s left on impact of an animal using a cup and core bullet

Your gun may be faster or slower all barrels are different
Lab Radar was used for velocities use it how ever it can help you.

Station pressure verification on site in Montana
barrels were donated by Benchmark and action by Joel Russo from Terminus

Definitely interesting. You've got 175 hornady at 2664 at 18" I've got a load for 180 hybrid in my 18" 7 prc at 2663! Ran them to about 2730 without issue but why when it's already caring that velocity beyond my hunting ranges.

Are you running suppressed with those velocities? I'm not sure if it would make a difference, but I'm curious. Thx!
