Barnes 130 grain TTSX in .30 06??

In my experience, everything in the ttsx line kills like lightning. Any .30 bullet going 3200fps is going to anchor deer like hitting them with an anvil.

With mono bullets like Barnes or hammers I've become a light and fast fan for inside 300 yards. If those 130s are accurate they'll kill the $h17 out of deer.

I've taken a feral goat with a 64gr hammer hunter going 2900 out of my AR that dropped within 20 yards with a 140 yard shot. I think that 130 at 3200 will do the job just fine.

For fun and potentially as my hunting round for deer season here in TN, I am going to load up some 130 grain TTSX over some Accurate 4064.

Potential for 3200 FPS and reviews I've read online say it kills deer like lightning out of a .30 06.

Anyone load 130 grain TTSX in a .30 06 before?
Go for it. You will poleaxe any whitetail you hit in the vitals.

Yes, I have used them in the 308 and 30-06, and they have worked very well. I use them for high shoulder hits mostly, and they kill like lightning. Velocity kills!

Similar with the .277 110gr TTSX in the 270W's, and in my 24" tubes, I push those to 257Wby vels. Again, fast anchors within their range.

Woo doggies I was getting 3225 FPS out of my 22" barrel Tikka T3x today with no major pressure issues. 57.4 grain Accurate 4064 compressed load. 1" group at 100 yards.

At 600 yards which is my max for where I hunt, the little stinker 130 grain TTSX is going 1738 fps and 872 lbs KE. Are those numbers still lethal for smallish Tennessee whitetails?
