That would work also. I usually have a lighter handy in a pocket, my ferro rod is in my pack in a fire kit. (less handy)

IMO if you're going into a situation where you're gonna need/ want a mini stove you're gonna need a lighter anyway.

How so? Cartridge neck diameter is only .002 over SAAMI spec when fired which seems tight to me.

IME seating the bullet deeper doesn't make any noticeable difference in pressure. Definitely not to the degree that's been described.
