Browning X-Bolt Hell's Canyon Long Range Rifle - Using 1 turn in 7" for 6.5 Creedmoor

Ive got the same rifle but in a max long range dosnt like lite loads but its absolutely stunning with 140-147 loads will group under and inch at 200 with hornady 147 eld match and S&B 142 HP BT factory loads, we have shot wallibies with it out to 1250 yards, awesome rifle. We only use...

SFP - how much magnification is too much?

I think 5-30 covers all bases nicely, I have been using Swarovski Z5 scopes in 3.5-18 and 5-25 range for hunting and both are excellent but have just purchased a Sig 5-30 tango 6 and its brilliant way better glass and am finding i am sing 30 power a lot more than i thought i would, the...

    SHORT ACTIONS ARE STUPID!!

Not sure why some people hate certain actions or calibers they all have a use, if you don't like it don't use it

Swaro Z5 3.5-18 great optics, super light really nice scopes I have them on 3 rifles and rate them highly

What binoculars and power are you all using for hunting and scouting in open country

leica 10 x 42 with range finder, I resisted for years spending the money and had Bushnall and leupold which are OK but once you use Leica's you cant look through anything else, I suffer from migraines and head aches and with the cheaper ones I can only look through them for very short periods...

sale me on the 6.5 creedmore

I just got one for long range wallaby/varmint hunting Howa HCR 26'' stainless varmint barrel, sonic suppressor, 1.5lb trigger, Sig Sauer 5-30 scope I had been holding off as on paper my 243 looked better but so far the CM has been more consistent with factory ammo (I dont reload) and better in...

    Top 5 hunting rifles at/under $1K

my choice is the x bolt browning, i like both browning and tikkas but the brownings for me are better finished, the stock's are nicer, the flush mags better and the 60 deg bolt is awesome . I and my son have 4 between us and they all shoot awesome, are not fussy on on ammo and we just love them.

    Best magnification for a scope

From my experience after trying lots of scopes my walk around rifle has a Swarovski Z5 3.5-18 which is an outstanding all round lightweight scope with very clear optics, for my long range varmint rifle in 6.5cm i have just put on a Sig Sauer tango 6 5-30 x 56 and its outstanding the electronic...

    VX-5HD or VX-6HD

Yes you are right the amount of elevation you can dial is limited I can only dial to just over 600 on my 243 which is a little annoying but will live with it for the excellent glass, I had heard there was away to remove the stop and still be able to get back to zero OK but havnt checked it out.

    VX-5HD or VX-6HD

I guess different eyes like different optics its about what works for you, we were out hunting yesterday and knocking over wallabies (which are quite small) out to just over 600yards with one shot kills - Swaro Z5 5-25, browning X bolt 243, sonic suppressor, timney trigger set at 1 3/4 lbs...

    VX-5HD or VX-6HD

everyone to their own but for me the Swaro's are worth the extra money, here in NZ the cost between the Leupold 5&6 is not much different to the swaro, lots of guys are switching to swaro's. As my eyes get older, placing that long distance shot where you want on a small animal and having a clean...

    VX-5HD or VX-6HD

Swarovski Z5 3.5-18 great scope have switched from Leupold and Zeiss to the swaros on all my rifles, cant fault them the 18 power is noticeably better than the 15 on smaller targets and unbelievable in low light

    Wsm rifle

we have two 300wsm Browning X bolts both feed awesome, very accurate with factory ammo and great hunting rifles as the short action and barrel length on the browning make them the shortest on the market, from memory 4'' shorter than a 300WM tikka or sako.

Rifles we wish we've never sold, and WHY!

browning 308 BAR stalker with open sights, awesome bush gun for knocking over wallabies on the run. Couldn't have kept it now anyway as our retarded NZ government banned all center fire semi autos, but have great memory's of that gun
