    Thunder Valley Precision

Tom added some new targets and built up some berms. There are now orange clay pigeons to shoot at in addition to steel on every berm. Hitting a clay pigeon at 1000 yards is pretty cool. I recently took delivery of a TVP rifle in wildcat cartridge 22x47. It shoots a .224 95gr SMK bullet at...

The posted schedule ends in Oct but Tom does have open range days throughout the fall and winter. Keep an eye on his FB page for TVP. Yes Open Range days can be busy but there are 20 benches and room in between to shoot prone. The new pavillion for the ELR targets will have 5 benches.

GBA 1000 Benchrest at Thunder Valley Precision

Last week was my fourth ever benchrest competition. I have a RPR in 6.5 Creedmoor that I reload for. Shot a 7.215 group and a score of 49. Not too bad for a rookie. I only shoot the tactical/hunter class right now but plan on competing in light gun soon.
