Mine likes 7828ssc with a 110gr accubond. It will usually shoot very well if I do my part. Velocity checked about 2 weeks ago was just shy of 3400 out of a 24 inch barrel. --md

I have one built with a 24" barrel. Pushing 110 Accubonds at 3380fps. That's almost factory velocity which is measured with a 26" barrel. I'm not sure I would go shorter than 24 and I wish it was 26 (that was my mistake when I had the gun re barreled.) That said, it's pretty handy to carry...

Try shooting groups at 200 yards and see what happens. Mine shoots the Berger 300gr OTM much better at 200 and out than at 100. Seems that it needs a bit more distance to stabilize. You might try H1000 as well. --Mark

H4350 and IMR4350 are similar, but not interchangeable. Absolutely start low and work up the load, especially when use one or the other. I had IMR on hand, so that is what I used. I hear Superformance works very well also, but I haven't bothered trying to find it. --md

I have had outstanding results on Mule Deer and Antelope with the 300gr OTM. Shooting them out of my .338 Lapua. Last season, I was shooting them out of my 338/378 Weatherby, also with outstanding results. Shots anywhere from 100 to 700 yards. I've never had to take a second shot with the 300gr...

No speedgoats for me again this year.
