what kind of fruit trees should i plant on my property for whitetails?

I have two chestnut trees and three really old apple trees and two really old pear trees. My great grandmother who I bought the property from said those trees were there long before she owned the property which she said was 64 1/2 years. what kind of fruit trees should i plant on my property for whitetails?

Thanks for the input turkeyfever. Fortunately I have plenty of acorn trees on the property. They drop alot of acorns. It's like walking on marbles in the woods when they drop. I believe I am going to plant a few more apple trees and some pear trees. Maybe 2 or 3 plum trees. I am also going to...

what kind of fruit trees should i plant on my property for whitetails?

When I pick my corn i plant dycon radishes and tall tine turnips in the field for the winter. The deer love them and it gives them something to munch on. I also plant winter peas and alfalfa for the deer.

As for our camp which has been around since 1893 passed down from generation to generation used to be filled with friends and families for years during hunting season. Sadly with old friends and families passing away and alot of the...

Pennsylvania Passed Bill To Use Semi-Auto Rifles!

According to what they're saying the antler restrictions will remain. They are just redoing the season the way they used to be. I am all for it as well. I remember years ago when you would see actual herds of deer say 20 to 30 at a time. Now all you see is maybe 10 at the most. It's sad. So...

    Great Nov. for PA.

Couldn't agree more there. If the younger generations would understand how beneficial it is they would all do it. I can't wait till my fourth is ready. My two nieces are taking an interest as well so hopefully there will be more generations to come.

    Great Nov. for PA.

LOL. Luck and skill go hand and hand. Well the way I see it is the old ways seem to be the best ways. All the old ways I was taught never failed me to date. My three older sons are all good shooters. Two years ago my oldest shot a five point at 75 yards and he shot a 4 point this year at 120...
