I'm leaning towards the LRB3000pro, mainly because it has a back lit reticle, (we do alot of hunting just before dark). have you, or do you know anyone who has tried these?

I have been looking at range finders and am interested if anyone has tried the following Newcon Optik range finders,
LRB 7x50 (1.5km) Bino
LRB 3000 pro (3km) Bino
LRM 2000 pro (2Km) Mono
Any info on their performance would be great.

I'm unsure of the % but what I ment about carrying guns was, officers (with extensive training) are allowed to carry guns locked in the trunk of their vechicle and can get them out only when their life is threatened. too late if they get jumped while on foot patrol!
Great story so far... here in New Zealand our police officers are not allowed to carry guns full time!! had a case here last week where an officer was surrounded by a bunch of teenagers (13-16yr olds) and beat him until a local stepped in and stopped it, he was left with a broken ankle, broken...
