With Ruger cases I used around 78 grains of 17 with 250's and a bit more with the 225's.

I use a Mystery Ranch Pintler as my elk pack. Works great. Any of the packs with the Guide Lite frame have worked well for us.

Krieger will make you whatever you want. I have a 7 twist 277 barrel from them on the shelf right now. As far as I know if you have the time, they’ll build it.

Yeah, Now that would be the king in my book. Even the 33 Nosler case has enough capacity to make me happy and would work with my spare RUM action as well!

I could easily be happy with a STA or RUM or even a 35 Nosler.. Any of those would float my boat.

Haven't used the 358 Norma, but I did use the 35 Newton for a spell. Still have a hankering to make up another big 35..
