I wouldn't say it will be junk, it'll be interesting to see how they'll go. I believe the ELD-Ms are supposed to be the modern 'non-melt tip' form of A-Max, and the A-Max bullets were very taxing on meat (as seen in my vids) Anyway, all the best and I look forward to the results.

Actually, the SMK's made 'small' holes, VERY 'small' holes, it was the Hornady 208 A-Max's that made the 'fist sized' holes! Anyway, thanks for the compliments on the vid, I'll keep you posted, although they are poisoning here now, and I expect the deer to be very sparse from here on in, so...

I know this is an old thread but, I had a 5r 300 Win Mag, with a 26" barrel, a Swarovski Z6 3-18x50 scope and a Niggeloh Sling. Nightforce 1 pce steel rail and Nightforce Ultra Light 30mm rings (no bipod) and, without weighing it, deemed it too heavy to tote long distances over hills etc...
