Example: I have a box of Winchester 300 wsm, I measure a round out of the box it is .336”. Subtract .002 from that and your bushing is a .334”. If you want less neck tension make it a .335” or .333” for more neck tension

Measure a loaded factory load, preferably one of the same brand of brass you are going to reload. From that total o.d. subtract .002”= bushing size

I liked the Superformance too at 67.4gr. with the Hornady ELD-X

Bought mine in 1984 great accuracy, when I got ammo for it, liked Hornady 139’s didn’t like anything else. Found out a couple years ago the rifle only had .001 headspace to spare so I full length size for it, very simple. I load 140 Accubonds over max load of H4831sc, 3000 FPS +/-

I like my Remington 700 in 270 win, hard to trade for anything else I have. Had an old weaver 6x recently put Burris 2-10x42 on it. Torments everything on the mountain

Thanks, I’ll look at it. I intend to use it as a long range rifle, should I limit my bullet choices to those up to 180gr. because of the twist?

Yeah, I shot 200gr Accubonds from it but it would only group well at about what the book told me was maybe 2800 fps
