Browning booger

Ill just be careful with taking the bolt in and out so i dont chip off that little piece of plastic. Id hate to have to mail it off to browning asking for another drop of plastic lol

does anyone have one of the short action magnum early models that didnt have that? how to they run without it?

does anyone have a newer xbolt with fluted bolt, is this thing on those?

I have bought two xbolts in the past year. One in a 204 and one used one in 22-250. The both shot .5 moa right out the gate with Hornaday factory ammo. I was very impressed with function and accuracy. I believe all xbolts are "glass bedded" which helps with accuracy, but they have to be putting out good barrels and actions. I own alot of different brands of rifles to include cooper's and nosler rifles. These xbolts will hold there own.......I would not hesitate to buy another....and to be clear, these are the only two browning xbolts I have experience with.....

I have an A-Bolt medallion from 1996 (Miroku aresenal). It's a .243 and is one of the best rifles I ever owned. I'm not sure if I'd ever buy an X-bolt but I sure would like a really old Belgium Browning rifle back when Sako was building the actions for them! Not to mention the old BAR grade 4/5 from that era when I was riding around on a Big Wheel.

Mine shoots great. 7mm-mag and taken it's fair share of game.

Brownings ain't what they used to be. I like the Ab1 and AB2. Then I did some work on the plastic trigger and screw on the AB3 and that was enough. To be fair though the Xbolt is certainly a better rifle than the AB3. But that doesn't mean I'll be buying one.
Actually, the X-bolts are better IMO.

Best factory rifle made IMO.

I have had quite a few and still own several... all have been very accurate and trouble free.

I have two that out shoot my customs.
