CCI 250's in stock @ Target Sports

It is only normal if everyone buys it like it is normal. Remember, we are in control of the market. Use budlight as an example. People stopped buying Anheiser Busch products for what, a week? Prices a dropping on them like a stone trying to move it.
I've been saying this since Day 1 of this crap. Somehow we can do it with beer but not primers and powder.
I guess this is just inflation

Nope. Went on Gunbroker the same week everything started going nuts and found a guy in Tennessee selling pallets of them. I believe that was before the state tax collection too. I called him up and ordered a dozen cases of everything I could get. Should've bought 209's too. That's the only thing I am light on.

Yep, it's funny to me how people can't see it. When gas prices shot through the roof and Shell came out bragging how they made $14 Billion in profit FOR THAT QUARTER, it really makes you wonder.

We see it.. but for the people that didnt plan what do they do? Not shoot for years till it comes back? I think not

So as kasey said, you got a special deal. Not everyone was in a financial position to buy a dozen cases of every primer from some guy in Tennessee off gunbroker in 2020. You got a bulk price discount. The price then, as Kasey said, in the store was around $39.99/brick. I haven't seen the average store price for primers below about $30/brick since before 2010.

That isn't really the point though. Some people essentially got lucky with their timing, or were in a financial position to purchase 5-10+ years of components at one time when prices were low. Those people are now complaining that other people, that weren't in that position, or didn't have the money, need to just not buy the components, essentially telling them to just stop shooting. While at the same time, they themselves are sitting on another 3-5+ years of components. Really?

Look, I get what is being said, don't pay the high prices and they will come down some. However manufacturing prices have in fact raised, and the CEO's making absurd amounts of money is nothing new. And bottom line, if people want to shoot, this is the cost unfortunately, like it or not.

So you were one of the panic buyers that started this mess?????

That certainly wasn't my meaning.

i suppose one could say that, sure. If preparing when the price and means allowed it is considered panic buying, then yes. I would however argue that those willing to pay 10 times that were more to blame. Once these companies got a taste of people buying bricks of primers at 10 times their normal rate, why on earth would they lower the price? They're gonna ride that train until the wheels fall off.

Completely understand that, I am not arguing for or against it. I am not trying to come off as the "I told ya so" guy. My point is simple. People that accept these inflated prices are the reason these prices stay. This market will recover whether anyone here wants to believe it or not. I am not and was not telling people not to shoot. I wouldn't accept that either. If I had nothing and it took an entire paycheck to keep barrels burning I would do it. My only point was that we as consumers are the ones who ultimately control it all.

We all just wish we got your deal lol.. thats the bottom line haha

Many of you seem to forget we are just a small portion of the market. Commercial ammunition and government contracts drive prices as well. There are many factors to primer prices and us reloaders are just one of them. It's not worth talking about standing up to the companies by not buying primers, because if you don't, there will always be someone else that will.

I always see guys bashing others for building huge quantities of primers, powder, bullets etc claiming that they are hoarding components making it tough for others to find these items. I was one of those guys that didn't like it. I feel much differently today. I bought 10,000 LRP a few years ago when they were still 32.00 per 1k. They'll last me my lifetime I believe. Had I not done it, I'd be out and paying 130.00 a brick when they do show up. Kudos to those smart enough to have foresight in this decision in buying huge quantities. If people don't like it, too bad. Buy or don't buy. Bitch or be happy. It's everyone's individual decision how they manage their shooting components. Next chance I get, I'm buying as many LMR, SMR and both pistol primers sizes I can. I'm never going thru this issue again. I'm loaded down in brass and bullets already. I have several thousand LMR primers as well thanks to a member on here posting Target Sports USA had them in stock. This post isn't addressing any particular person but in general since I see this on numerous forums. Maybe it's not happening as much today because nothing is available for large quantity purchases.
