Thank everyone soo much!!
I have to get this cleared through the admin as far as collecting funds. I know a lot of you want to contribute, and I will be a contact point, but don't want to get caught up in the rules of this forum. I am sure that, I KNOW that these young men will get the ammo since I already will buy it, but maybe we can give them a little more. Please everyone wait before sending ammo or funds until I can get this worked out. Meanwhile continue to think about helping these young men out. I am thinking not only sending ammo, but maybe a rifle? There are thousands of us on this forum and if we only chipped in a few dollars think of how great that could be. I just hope that I can keep my membeship and do this the right way. This forum has rules for the right reasons and we don't want to start something the isn't correct. I amsure there are State & Fed rules regarding contributions and this forum needs to abide by them.
As soon as I get permission we will get these young hunters what they need,

Thanks
Len & Jill

Hi fellas. I'm the one taking Carson on this hunt. His father Jeremy was a big hunter and me and Jeff(Bgbuck153) grew up shooting and killing stuff with him. I was fortunate enough to take Carson out to get his first doe a few years ago with the crossbow. I just got back from a hunt in texas with my son last nov when Carson text and asked if he could go on the next hunting trip with me. Talked to his mom and got him all set up. I'm taking him and my 12yr old daughter to hunt free range axis in texas. He is so pumped but we just can't find Ammo for his 308. I load for multiple rifles but unfortunately I don't have a 308. U guys have no clue how much this means to me and the generosity of this group just amazes me! Big thank u from the bottom of my heart! I know Jeremy is looking down smiling! Also thank u to Jeff for putting his out there after telling him I couldn't find Ammo anywhere.

holy cow fellas holy cow. Im feeling a bit emotional reading all this. I don't even know where to start. I'm 100% capable of buying ammo, I just can't find any. I do reload but would need to buy the components (I probably have powder that would work) as I don't have a 308. Although the generosity is unmeasurable at the thought of getting them a rifle, it's unneeded.

A short story about my buddies guns though. he was dating a girl with a drug problem that he was unaware of until he came home to his guns missing. She's took them and sold them to gun stores and pawn shops to support her addiction. One was his prized camo colt anaconda with matching scope in a 44 mag. The cops were able to get some of the guns back but not all. The colt was one that wasn't recovered. He had the accident a short time after this happened.

Our one buddy put together a golf outing to raise money for the boys and invested it for they're future.

OK. Yes, that is further down in my old stomping ground. Uvalde.
If you fly in I am guessing it would be San Antonio. I was going to say, if was Dallas, I might could do you some good, but would have to check out a few things on getting you some ammo.
Currently in Waco area.

Yep we fly into San Antonio on Oct 7th. Been hunting the Panhandle last couple years and flew into Dallas. Will be my first trip down that way.

Ok let me know if I got this correct. @rtsj is taking Carson hunting and @bgbuck153 is in charge of getting the ammo for Carson's hunt.
Both of you hunted with his dad and are awesome friends, god bless you two.
Sorry for the confusion.... I'm just not up to par with what's going on.

If you two can reload, I have set of dies, brass and bullets I can give you to make a perfect load. It would be easier for me to send you everything you need except powder so you can get started. If that would work let me know. I can run them through a sizer, prime them ready for you folks to load up. I included Hornady SST 125, 150 and 165 grain bullets, once you figure out a perfect load I can send more of the ones you need.
In my experience with my sons having lighter 110 or 125 gr heads moving along at 3,000+ FPS provided some spectacular kills with less recoil than the 165 grain heads. The 125's in my humble opinion will be a devastating bullet for deer. Let me know your folks plans I can have it in the mail by Monday. Good luck and god bless aloha

Lot's of game in that area for sure. Some exotics also. Look like some good outfitters so I am sure you will be successful. Good luck and God bless you for what you are doing.
