[QUOTE="Hard Head, post: 2406679, member: 91079"] My longest Archery kill was in 1984 just north of Billings,Montana near the little town of Molt, had returned home with my son from hunting Mulies and decided to go out as it was a perfect afternoon,no wind and was about 45-50 out. Was driving the roads and spotted a herd,,then went looking for the land owner, found him and asked if I could try to get him, he said yes if he could go along,I said yes,we went out,the herd had moved to the other side of the road they were about 120 to 130 yards out in the stubble, I knew I could stalk a little closer as they were looking at me but could not tell what was going on,as the Sun was about 20 minutes from starting to set and was shinning right in there eye's,,I made it about 30 yds. on my hands and knees, the rancher was right behind me,I told hem I was going for the shot ,he said you can't hit him at this distance ,he's close to 100 yds away,I said I think I can , Stayed on my Knees was shooting the then New Martin Cougar Mag at 80#s with dual cams, I put my 60 yd pinon his heart and looked where the 80 yd pin was then put the 60 yd pin a little higher where the 80 had been and let the string loose,I was watching the arc of the shaft and I knew he was mine,it hit him where the heart should be , He squealed stud on his hind legs like a stallion pawed at the air took 3bounds and was dead,The Rancher said Holy **** have never seen a shot like that in my life, I said I probably will never make a shot like that again! I never have either. He was a old male with 17" horns and was beautiful. I was shooting a 28" 2213 with 3 4" feathers left wing ana 110 gr. Zwickey Eskimo on a swaged shat.
